Columbia-Staver has the in-house capability to perform structural analysis on designs at the concept stage to determine stresses, deformation and strain, especially with designs bearing heavy loads such as battery packs. Below shows such an investigation with an ultra thin Cold Plate supporting just under a half a ton of mass. With structural analysis leading to design improvements the displacement was reduced by 98% to a displacement of only 0.3mm.
